I would Never go to this hospital again! I went to the ER with a huge gash in my finger, where the fat was sticking out. (I had been told to get stitches by my RN mother-in-law that has 25 years of experience.)
When I got there, I was immediately struck by how dirty the entrance was. I went in anyway, despite my misgivings. I should have turned around and left.
From there, I was treated extremely discourteously by just about every staff member, except one nurse. They managed to butcher my simple name in new and creative ways, and even downplay the fact there was fat peeking from the wound.
I was then told by a nurse in training (not even a real doctor or nurse yet!) that they wouldn't do stitches. She then promptly disappeared, and 20 minutes later, a doctor and a rude woman appeared, only to hand me a bandaid and shove paperwork in my face.
The woman in question wouldn't shut up or leave me alone until I had coughed up my insurance card and signed at least 3 forms about "payment". I couldn't care less about them getting paid, given they didn't do anything to warrant payment.
The best part about that visit was leaving as fast as I could. I'm telling everyone I know to avoid that hospital like the plague and that they should tell everyone they know to do the same.
