I met with Dr Connley in the Spine & Joint Center. He had surgery which ran over and was about 1 hr late. I got to spend all of 6 minutes with him of which half was spent by him ditating his accessment into a recorder. He decided in the first minute that I had arthritis. I did not have any back pain before my disk operation 8 months ago. That operation cured the leg pain but left me with back pain. I have had trouble with muscle pulls in my back but he dismissed that and told me to just take Motrin and live with it. The pain varies from mild to severe when I feel another pull happen. I have little confidence that the diagnosis is accurate. I am definitly going to seek a second opinion rather than live with this pain and pop pain pills.
